Adam Guglielmo

Adam Guglielmo is a director of business development for ABB Wireless Communication Systems (formerly Tropos Networks) with a focus on Electric Utilities and Smart Grid.

He is based in Raleigh, NC and has over 15 years of experience in the telecommunications industry in product management, marketing, sales engineering, and business development. Before joining ABB, he spent over seven years at Juniper Networks in a variety of roles, and he has also spent time at Covad Communications, and DirecTV Broadband.

He has B.A. from Dartmouth College, a J.D. from the University of Colorado, and is a member of the California State Bar.

Steven Kunsman

Steve Kunsman has recently transitioned into the Business Development and had previously been ABB Vice President and General Manager, Substation Automation Products, since 2010. Steve’s ABB career began in 1984 when he joined protective relay group as an Electrical Designer. Steve has held various engineering, technology and product management positions within the North American and global substation automation organizations.  

Steve holds 5 patents: SCADA-REDI system for rapid integration and verification of substation equipment, High impedance fault detector concept for the detection of hazardous downed conductors, High impedance fault detection system, Digital signal processor implementation of high impedance fault algorithms, Data compression and storage for RMS trending between power quality events, Power system protection devices synchronized with Global Positioning Satellites. He is also recognized as a Substation Automation specialist with his areas of expertise including: over 30 years in substation automation, protection and control applications, communications technologies (IEC 61850 and DNP), cyber security for substation automation, and Relion product family of protection and control relays.

He is an active senior member in the IEEE PES Power System Relaying and Substations Committees including PSRC main committee member, past working group chair for substation cyber security and relay quality processes, past IEC TC57 US delegate in the development of the IEC61850 communication standard and resides on the UCA International Users Group Executive Committee as co-chairperson since the organization’s founding.  

Steve holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania and an MBA in management of technology from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
