Ignite & adapt! How to manage unprecedented change impacting the power industry

The changes facing the power industry are immense: The pressure to upgrade and modernize the grids is huge, but the resources to do so are scarce.

Problem: How do you fit new technologies into old models and infrastructure while literally keeping the lights on in the interim?

It seems everybody wants change - as long as it does not impact them. And few are willing to pay for it. Meanwhile renewable sources of energy and cyber security are real issues and need to be addressed, but add levels of cost and complexity.

This presentation will provide strategies and tactics for leading through times of unprecedented change in the power industry. You will discover you are not alone in facing such challenges. You will hear stories and examples of companies and other industries who have gotten it right, and those who have gotten it wrong. From these examples and the leadership principles to be shared, you will be inspired to address your change challenges head on. More importantly, you will be armed with some practical tools to do so. Bottom line: There is no magic bullet to meet the challenge of change, but there are best practices we can all share and learn from.

“There is no magic bullet to meet the challenge of change,” says Dr. Bradt, “but there are best practices we can all share and learn from.”
