Don Martin

Executive Consultant, ABB Power Systems Consulting

Don has been involved in system studies and HVDC, FACTS and SVC design and development for ABB projects since 1983. Recent projects include a feasibility studies for proposed HVDC interconnections and off-shore power transfers for wind farms and the oil/gas business. Transmission studies include systems from 34 KV to 765 KV.  Studies of industrial systems include 138 KV down to 400 volts.

He is currently providing power system analysis consulting for utilities and industrial systems as an Executive Consultant for ABB Inc. From 1975 to 1983 he was with the Western Area Power Administration. He worked for Arizona Public Service from 1970-1975. He holds B.S. and M.S. Degrees in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University.

Matt’s experience includes 20 years in engineering, design, estimating and business development with American Electric Power, as well as other Private Substation EPC firm turned OEM EPC firms. Matt is responsible for ABB's Renewables Sector as well as Project Estimator for the Power Systems Division.
