Building Automation Channel Manager, Dubai, UAE

You as a Building Automation Channel Manager will be a part of the Electrification Products division and will be based in Dubai, UAE. The electrification products division manufactures low-voltage circuit breakers, switches, control products, wiring accessories, enclosures and cable systems to protect people, installations and electronic equipment from electrical overload. The division further makes KNX systems that integrate and automate a building's electrical installations, ventilation systems, security and data communication networks. You will develop and maintain a highly effective sales channel strategy in UAE in order to improve ABB market penetration and realize growth aspirations for building automation products and systems. You will also be responsible for planning and executing marketing and sales support to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and continuously monitor channel performance.

Tasks:

Your main responsibilities will include:-

1. Strategy
Define and implement the channel sales strategy and budget and ensure regular follow-up. Responsible for providing channel strategy input for the Sales team, and for harmonizing the market sales and marketing plans.

2. Targets
Define key targets (e.g. volume, prices, mix) and ensure these are achieved for the channel in the specified market. Ensure detailed business plans with regular follow up are in place.

3. Negotiations
Contribute in critical sales and key frame agreements negotiations. Support Channel Specialist in the offering and proposal process for channel partners.

4. Partners
Identify and evaluate channel partners together with the Channel Specialist and authorize them in coordination with the Sales management team. Manage annual performance assessment activities for channel partners.

5. Marketing
Coordinate sales and marketing efforts and pricing policies that require channel/segment partner participation. Ensure appropriate communication, promotion and training activities in the channel/segment

6. Channel management
Evaluate and certify Channel partners. Ensure training for Channel and ABB personnel in aspects of marketing analysis, market segmentation, demand creation techniques, channel models and cost structures, effective channel program development and channel metrics.

Requirements:

Ideally you should be an engineering graduate in electrical or electronics with 10 years’ experience in design, sales and product management of Building Automation Products with a minimum 4 years’ experience in UAE & in similar business preferred. Additional certification in Automation Technology (KNX or similar) is preferred.
