Product Specialist

Under the immediate authority of the Marketing & Engineering Manager, Capacitors Division, the Product Specialist is responsible for the marketing component and carries out quotation and support activities relating to the low voltage capacitor & filter products and solutions.

Tasks:

- Establish strong communication and interaction with the personnel from the Regional Sales Offices, the Regional Managers and the customers.
- Prepare and submit bids based on the customer’s specifications.
- Liaise constantly with the customers/representatives/Regional Managers with respect to the bid development and process.
- Ensure the design of products and/or systems is in line with specifications, guidelines etc.
- Analyze the content of the orders received to ensure their compliance with the bid requirements and negotiated agreements, this from a commercial and technical point of view (terms and conditions).
- Transfer the contracts received to the Project Leader.
- Provide technical support to the customers and the Sales Representatives/Regional Managers through proper knowledge of products. As an expert, provide clear answer to the questions raised. Give information to others regarding technical issues.
- Verify the drawings and, from time to time, participate in the approval process.
- Work in a long-term perspective in order to meet the needs of the customers.
- Control the progress of a project with regard to the different stages or schedules established.
- Ensure achievement of all objectives.
- Follow up orders and customer complaints; inform the customers of the project progress status.
- Within his scope of authority and competence, perform all other tasks not specifically mentioned in the present description and required by his immediate supervisor.

Requirements:

- College (CEGEP) degree in Engineering Technologies
- 5 to 8 years of experience
- Windows knowledge : Advanced
- Word knowledge : Advanced
- Excel knowledge : Advanced
- Power Point knowledge : Advanced
- Others (asset): Salesforces.com, SAP
- Bilingualism (French/English)
- Ability to use computer tools
- Communication skills
- Diligent and enthusiastic, team spirit
- Knowledge of capacitors and power systems
