Mechanical Assembler

Tasks:

- Assemble mechanical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications.
- Remove and replace shafts, bearings, gearings and other components, referring to blueprints or service manuals as required
- Identifying malfunctions and then carrying out repairs
- Responsible for the time and scheduling of all the tasks performed by the Assembly Center
- Train one or more colleagues for backup purposes
- Maintain proper records of all cases performed
- Recommend and implement continuous improvement actions
- Keeping the workplace in an organized and clean condition
- Repairing or replacing defective equipment parts
- Completing all duties according to applicable safety measures and published procedures
- Performing miscellaneous warehouse duties as required
- Insure proper tools are in place to perform adequately all the task in a safe and accurate way

Requirements:

- College degree – Mechanical/Electrical Technician
- 5 years experience
- Manual Dexterity
- Must be able to understand and follow instructions
- Basic computer navigation and utilization skills
- Collaborative approach
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
- Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem
- Ability to use Basic electrical test equipment
- Ability to read electrical connection drawings
- Capacity to work under pressure. Limited time to execute the tasks sometimes
- High attention to detail and self-motivation skills
- Maintain a clean & safe environment
- Specific technical or vocational training or certification may be required
- Candidate must able to operate a fork lift and have a current lincense (a “reach type” , “order picker type” and standard electric sit down fork lift”)
- Bilingual – Fluent in English and French
