Channel manager

The Channel Manager is a member of the front end sales leadership team, located in Saint-Laurent Quebec, and reporting to the senior vice president sales and marketing. The selected candidate will be responsible for the implementation and development of a distributor and OEM sales channel for the power grids division.

Tasks:

- Develop and execute a channel management strategy for technical distributors and OEMs;
- Evaluate the opportunity to use sales representatives in order to broaden the power grids sales coverage;
- Identify channel partners, recruit them, and set them up engaging the appropriate business units in their selection;
- Coordinate and support activities between ABB and channel partners;
- Develop action plans with the sales regions for channel engagement and day to day support;
- Set order targets and execute them with the sales regions ;
- Setup business development plan including market share growth targets and action plan;
- Work with channel partners and business unit product support teams to develop and implement sales plans and achieve order targets;
- Introduce and promote new systems, solutions, services and products to clients;
- Support the preparation of quotations and /or formal bids;
- Continuous improvement of knowledge of ABB portfolio through various trainings.

Requirements:

- Minimum three years of related channel management experience including set up and recruitment;
- Demonstrated five years of distributor engagement including technical distributors;
- Experience with sales representatives;
- Engineering diploma preferred;
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization;
- Effective communicator and facilitator;
- Proficiency in French and English preferred.
