Test Engineer in Mechanic and Thermal Environment Laboratory (80-100%)

At our mechanic and thermal environment laboratory in Zurich-Oerlikon, Switzerland, the high-voltage equipment is tested on its mechanical and climate functionality. As a Test Engineer, you will direct the assigned experiments of the mechanic and thermal environment laboratory and assume responsibility for the assigned assemblers, apprentices and testing facilities. You will ensure that experiments are performed efficiently and correctly. Additionally, you will ensure that they are documented and reported and that testing and measuring equipment is operated efficiently.

Tasks:

- Responsible for the testing process from consulting to invoicing
- Test the operational reliability of prototypes as well as execution of type tests according to standards
- Direct assigned tests in accordance with the team leader of the testing laboratory
- Instruct assigned assemblers and apprentices and support them when needed
- Be responsible for rapid, efficient, and correct reporting in the form of test reports and type test protocols
- Monitor and implement safety regulations during experiments and other activities in the test facility
- Ensure that quality standards and deadlines are met
- Further develop the test methods and facilities and ensure maintenance and service in the high-voltage laboratory

Requirements:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree (or similar) in Electrical/Power Technology or comparable qualifications
- Initial work experience relating to high-voltage engineering preferable
- German at native-speaker level and fluent English
- Assertive team player with precise working method
