ABB hosts Technology Day in Yangon

Writing the future together with customers and driving the Energy and Fourth Industrial Revolutions in Myanmar

ABB presented its industry-leading portfolio of digital solutions, ABB AbilityTM, at its Technology Day in Yangon, Myanmar on July 28, 2017. Themed “Writing the future together and driving the Energy and Fourth Industrial Revolutions”, the event included 15 technical sessions and proved to be an innovative showcase of how ABB can deliver customer value in the digital age.

With a gathering of more than 230 attendees from utilities, industries and infrastructure sectors,  ABB experts took the opportunity for knowledge sharing and introducing new technologies in transmission and distribution, energy efficient products and systems, as well as smart home and building solutions.

We are pleased to have had this chance to demonstrate our technologies and solutions to our customers in Myanmar that can help establish a stronger, smarter, and greener grid for the country and also help industries with improved operational performance and productivity,” said Chaiyot Piyawannarat, Managing Director, ABB, Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos.

The exhibition showcased, among other solutions, ABB AbilityTM Electrical Distribution Control System, home automation (Free@Home), RIP and RIS bushing, VUBB on-load tap-changer, dry-type transformer, gas-insulated switchgear (GIS), micro-grid solution, measurement & analytical products, robotics, high efficiency motor and power protection.

This event gave customers insight into how to increase productivity, lower maintenance costs and energy consumption while also providing a platform to discuss new ideas and trends that will impact the way they do business in the future, given this rapidly changing technological landscape.
