For the first time in the history of weather records, two Atlantic Category 4 hurricanes have made landfall in the United States during the same year. Hurricanes Irma and Harvey have caused millions of power outages and the impact to the U.S. infrastructure is severe.

“ABB is mobilizing service teams from all over the U.S. as well as Canada, Mexico and other countries to help our customers return to operations as quickly and as safely as possible,” said Greg Scheu, President of ABB Americas. “ABB factories are gearing up including supplemental inventory and readying teams of service experts.”

ABB has set up a disaster customer service center to assist our utility and industrial customers with damage assessment and to coordinate the correct response. The ABB Customer Service Center can be reached at (800) 435-7365 or contact.center@us.abb.com to ensure utility and manufacturing customers have access to resources, equipment and services.

ABB is also helping employees and affected communities in Florida, Texas and Louisiana by partnering with the American Red Cross to ensure swift emergency aid for the victims Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Harvey. ABB is matching employees’ donations dollar for dollar.

“We are confident that the communities in the path of Hurricane Irma will return stronger than ever,” said Scheu. “We stand ready to help our employees and our customers do the same.”
