Please read this data privacy statement carefully. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

The ABB Group companies (collectively “ABB”) use the eRecruitment tool as one of the central applications for attracting, recruiting and retaining people. The ABB eRecruitment tool lets recruiters publish available ABB positions around the world; potential candidates can register in the ABB talent pool and then search and apply for those vacancies.

Scope


By registering your candidate profile in the ABB talent pool, you provide ABB with your personal data and state that you are interested in employment at ABB. Your data may therefore be used for filling open positions, which can include either a single, specific opening or additional potential openings beyond the scope of your original application.

Your information will be shared within ABB’s human resource community and its other business functions (eg, line management) to determine how well your application fits the position you have applied for, or possible future postings. Additionally, your application data will be viewed together with additional information you provide ABB during the recruitment process (eg, interviews, assessments, references). If your application is successful, your data will be used for personnel administration including the establishment of a personnel record and management purposes. Your contact information might also be used to improve your job application experience and ABB’s HR recruitment process. For example, you might be asked to participate in surveys related to recruitment. Your participation in such surveys is completely voluntary. Your data might also be used for legal, regulatory and statistical purposes.

In order for you to apply for a position, ABB will ask you to enter your personal and contact data, work experience, education, competencies, qualifications and job preferences. You can also attach documents to supplement your data, such as a CV, and job-related questionnaires may be integrated into the application process.

Transfer


ABB is a company that operates globally. Your data might therefore be used globally in connection with the recruitment process by ABB. You understand that your data might be processed in countries with data privacy legislation that might not be as strict as that in as your home country. By submitting your information, you consent to such transfers. ABB will take all reasonable steps to protect your personal data and prevent unauthorized access.

Access to data


All of your information may only be accessed and processed by ABB employees involved in the recruitment process anywhere in the world, as well as by authorized third parties such as agencies and IT administrators assisting ABB in the recruitment process.

Data retention


Your information will be kept in the system for a period of 12 months after your most recent profile update. If your application was not accepted, ABB will contact you before the 12 months expire and ask you to update your information. If you prefer not to update your information at that time, your profile will be deleted automatically. Your information may only be kept for a longer period if local legislation requires.
