The Femtec program, which supports female students of technical subjects, connected me to ABB. On the open day, ABB struck me as a modern company, which is why I applied to the trainee program. I realized that I could flourish here. Thanks to its internationality and size, ABB enables work abroad. I really wanted to work with people from different cultures. It just fit.
I’m in the first phase of my trainee program, and I work in the service unit of the Power Automation branch. There, I’m in charge of developing the Service Portfolio. More specifically, I work on the implementation of a new service contract and its subsequent global introduction.
As a trainee, I am well mentored and was able to take on some responsibility from the beginning. I am fully integrated in my team and have the opportunity to work with people from different departments and countries. That’s very exciting and has already enabled me to build a large network.
I enjoy being outside, especially in the mountains. When I’m on holiday, I discover Europe in a VW bus or seize the opportunity to travel to faraway countries. Friends and family also play a large role in my life.
