During my studies at ETH I did an internship at ABB in management systems (quality, safety at work, environment) and accepted a permanent position afterwards. I worked 20% as an Environmental Officer and 80% for the Country Service Organization. As a project manager, I worked on the service strategy implementation in Switzerland. In addition, I was active as an innovation agent for the development of the innovation process of ABB. Since April 2014, I am project manager at the business unit Low Voltage Power in Lenzburg. I took the initiative for this position in order to get to know the operational business.
I can discover new areas and gain global experience. I used to think that I would only stay with a company up to three years. But at ABB, there are many opportunities for further development and while still maintaining your network of contacts.
I spend a lot of time in front of the computer and in meetings. But to find something out, I don’t necessarily write a lot of emails but instead prefer meeting people face to face. It’s more efficient for both sides, and it also helps to maintain your working relationships.
To keep having fun at work. Having fun at work is the way to success.
