The award, “Top 10 User-Trusted Products of 2015” honors outstanding automation products which have been widely recognized by end users. The award takes market leading positions from over the past year into consideration. ABB's System 800xA offers the shortest and most secure path to facilitating IoTSP – the Internet of Things, Services and People. “The internet of things in automation processes happens by empowering collaboration within and between plants, systems, services, people and devices. These are key enablers for exchanging information securely and to ensure optimum decision making and automation for enhanced productivity, both now and in the future.” said GuoMing Li, Hub Business Unit Manager, ABB Control Technologies in China.

Winning this award not only shows ABB’s leading position in the DCS market, it also rewards the platform’s innovation and the team’s determination in winning sales. A key enabler for market penetration continues to be a strong focus on innovation, in order to drive technology advances and to maintain a leading market position.

System 800xA was launched in 2004. Since then, the installed base has grown to over 10,000 systems in over 100 countries. These systems monitor and control over 50 million tags. System 800xA has been the leading DCS system worldwide for over a decade.
