Sensitive countries

In conducting its global operations, ABB is sensitive to restrictions on trade and business activities. ABB continually monitors legislative, political, social and security developments, particularly in relation to certain sensitive countries.

ABB complies with applicable sanctions and where appropriate, carries out a thorough internal assessment, in line with its policies, on criteria including sanctions and export control questions.

ABB is sometimes asked by stakeholders about its business operations in and with certain sensitive countries. The following table describes our activities, if any, in or with some of the most frequently-mentioned countries:

ABB is also sometimes asked about its business activities with Myanmar. Since the changes in international sanctions on Myanmar, ABB has resumed its business activities.
