You as a Sr.Sales Engineer will be part of Robotics and Motion (RM) division which offers a wide range of products and services including drives, motors, generators, power electronics systems, rectifiers, power quality products, photovoltaic inverters, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and robots and will be based in the UAE.

Your responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include;
•Proven track record of handling LV/MV drives system business effectively
•Customer relations - Establishes and maintains effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promote customer understanding of full product/systems offering, and align to provide a solution.
•Sales plans - Prepares sales plans using company tools. Performs regular status reviews and proposes recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls.
•Sales - Creates added value for the customer and ABB by using effective sales techniques. Communicates details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy.
•Analyzing customer requirements and determining technical feasibility
•Actively monitor competition so as to identify and list ABB features that help differentiate, add value and enhance sales
•To manage large projects through OEM/EPC for drive business in Gulf Area
•Identifying new OEM/EPC and capture business through active prescription and targeting major players in Gulf Area market
•Handing over the project/Products to PM or OH
•Having a kick off meeting with respective PM and Customers based on the project nature
•Following up on Payment
•Performing Presentations/Seminars
•Ensuring that the job which is booked is executed correctly and order is closed to customer satisfaction

Your background

Ideally you should have an Electrical engineering background with 5+ years of experience, out of which at least 3 years’ experience in Project Sales with EPC/OEM with knowledge in Drives & Motor applications(Pumps/Fan/Compressor ...etc).Furthermore,you should have excellent communication skills along with a customer focussed attitude and a strong drive for results.
