You as an EP Pricing Manager MEA will be a part of the Electrification Products division and will be based in Dubai, UAE.The Electrification Products division offers low- and medium-voltage electrical installations, including EV infrastructure, solar inverters, modular substations, distribution automation, switchgear, measuring and sensing devices, control products, including KNX systems designed to integrate and automate a building’s lighting, ventilation, heating, and security, wiring accessories, enclosures and cabling systems, data communication networks, and power protection. In this role, you will contribute to identification and execution of price increase and demand generation opportunities to maximize LSO (local sales organization) revenue and profit, whilst improving LSO pricing processes, pricing data readiness and monitoring pricing KPI’s. You will also act as the interface between the Local Sales organization(s) (LSOs) and the Global Division pricing department and be capable of handling pricing topics for one or more LSOs in the region.


Reporting to Local Division Manager, MEA and Head of Pricing, EP Division, your key areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:
1. Center of pricing excellence (COPE)
Serve as a point-of-contact within the LSO overseeing the pricing initiatives in the region.

2. Pricing Initiatives
Implement, review and maintain strategical, tactical and operational pricing initiatives within the LSOs.
A. Strategic initiatives:
• Set annual pricing budget
• Set targets and tradeoffs
• Segment the market (Analyze historical data to create, define and refine micro markets in the LSO data)
• Design discount structure (standard and special)
• Set project quotation guidelines
• Set rebate policy
• Plan pricing data capture
• Position products and set list price

B. Tactical initiatives:
• Generate, interpret and refine price and volume increase opportunities (PIOs, VIOs)
• Generate, interpret and refine quote improvement opportunities
• Generate, interpret and refine rebate improvement opportunities
• Update segments
• Identify bundling and packaging opportunities

C. Operational initiatives:
• Measure revenue variance
• Act on PIO’s and VIO’s by channel
• Approve project quotes and MSPA’s
• Execute data capture plan

3. Price Data Engineering
• Use Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) tools to join data from LSO data sources (e.g. SAP, spreadsheets, ATLAS) to construct fact tables, resolve, manage, monitor and address pricing data issues.
• Identify data improvement opportunities (DIO’s).
• Develop views and stored procedures in SQL to support repetitive SQL tasks

4. Pricing Process
• Mapping of the end to end pricing process and support the definition of their improvement. Special focus on rebates process, accruals and pay out.

5. Marketing & Sales
• Develop good understanding of EP wide range of selling models
• Familiarize with LSO customer, product, competitive and agreements landscape

6. Document
• Document LSO pricing specifications and requirements.
• Prepare and present COPE achievements and status reports
• Create and maintain pricing processes documentations


Ideally you should be having a master’s Degree in Operations Research, Statistics, Economics, Analytics or an equivalent data driven quantitative discipline with minimum 6 years of relevant experience with basic understanding of micro economics, marketing, pricing concepts, fundamentals of mathematical modeling and optimization. Good command of the fundamentals of statistical and quantitative analysis is expected. Experience with one or 2 business Intelligence tools, e.g. Power BI and / or Tableau is preferred. Good working knowledge of MS SQL language, MS excel is required.
You must be a self-starter with good attitude and have excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with all stakeholders with diverse backgrounds
