You as a Sales specialist OEM you will be part of the Electrification Products Division and Marketing and Sales Business Units (BU) based in Dubai, UAE. The Electrification Products division offers low- and medium-voltage electrical installations, including EV infrastructure, solar inverters, modular substations, distribution automation, switchgear, measuring and sensing devices, control products, including KNX systems designed to integrate and automate a building’s lighting, ventilation, heating, and security, wiring accessories, enclosures and cabling systems, data communication networks, and power protection.
In this role, you are responsible for sales of products or systems within a designated market in accordance with strategy. You will also be responsible to build long term customer relationships, manage resolution to specific customer needs and issues, identify and develop sales opportunities.

Your responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include:

•Volume and profit: Sell products or systems to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets for assigned Business Units or Product Groups. Main focus selling OEM customers the complete EP LV Products portfolio of the products like contactors, relays, motor management systems, push buttons, Indication lamps, molded case circuit breakers, miniature circuit breakers, enclosures, etc. to customers such as pump & water, HVAC, elevators, critical power, automation system Integrators focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets for assigned Business Units or Product Groups. In the selling process work closely with all the stake holders such as end clients, consultants, panel builders, distributors, etc. to generate demand as well as convert it to measurable orders in line with the targets for the year and segment.

•Customer relations: Establish and maintain effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promote customer understanding of full product or system or services offering, and align to provide a solution. Ensure a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.

•Sales plans: Prepare sales plans using company tools. Perform regular status reviews and propose recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls.

•Sales: Create added value for the customer and ABB and ensure the successful outcome of transactions, contracts and proposals by using effective sales techniques such as value based selling. Communicate details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy (delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions).

•Marketing: Ensure efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers. Take initiatives in driving the marketing campaigns, promotional activities as and when required with the support and actively liaising with the product marketing team.

•New market opportunities: Identify and drive the development of new market, segment, and customer profile related opportunities in the designated market and ensures know-how sharing and cross-collaboration.

•Administration: Manage administrative procedures in sales processes as per company policy, legal guidelines and support collection and project management activities when needed.

•Offer preparation: Prepare offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department and/or the Product Marketing Specialist or Manager. Ensure appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions as well as internal ABB legal guidelines.

Your background

Ideally you should have a degree in engineering (Electrical or Electronics) with 3 to 5 years’ of sales experience in UAE (OEM segment) market. Good communication and presentation skills with fluency in English is required. High integrity, self-motivation, energetic but sensible approach and apt techno-commercial skills will be preferred.
