You as a Sales and Marketing Manager – Gulf will be will be a part of the ABB Power Grid Automation that provide industry leading solution for Substation Automation, Protection, and SCADA. In this role you will ensure execution of unit sales strategy, profitability and volume target achievement of products and systems. Lead a sales team focused on identifying customers, building relationships, following appropriate sales process steps, and executing commercial negotiations.
1. Local Sales Strategy:
Define and ensure the defined global sales strategy is implemented in alignment with local market.
2. Sales Objectives:
Establish sales targets and ensure sales achievement through regular oversight and definition and implementation of improvement plans as needed.
3. Customer Acquisition:
Identify opportunities at existing and potential new customers within defined geographical area, and determines plans for acquisition, including plans for vertical & horizontal growth (white spaces).
4. Information Sharing:
Coordinate the flow of information for sales activities and transactions, including leads, billings, orders, contracts, etc. and evaluate data to ensure area goal achievement.
5. Customer Relations:
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers. Ensure efficient marketing communication and communicate the value proposition of the offer to current and potential customers. Negotiate with customers to finalize sales contracts.
6. Volume, Profit and Cost:
Ensure achievement of sales volume and product mix targets for Local PGs by setting appropriate price and margin for individual sales opportunities. Manage ongoing SG&A costs.
Monitor client financial status and reports any changes regarding risk to relevant internal partner teams.
Manage the sales support and administrative procedures within the sales process.
Ideally you should have a Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical), MBA is an advantage with 10-15 years of sales experience in Power and/or T&D industry. Middle East experience is necessary. Should involve in leading Sales and Bids & proposals team. Strong network of customers within Utility, O&G, infrastructure segments. Customer and business oriented, strong commercial and communication skills. Experience in leading teams.
