You as a Sales Specialist will be a part of the Electrification Products division and will be based in
Dubai, UAE. The Electrification Products division offers low- and medium-voltage electrical
installations, including EV infrastructure, solar inverters, modular substations, distribution automation,switchgear, measuring and sensing devices, control products, including KNX systems designed to integrate and automate a building’s lighting, ventilation, heating, and security, wiring accessories,enclosures and cabling systems, data communication networks, and power protection.
In this role, you will be responsible for sale of Building Automation Systems and Products within UAE
market in accordance with ABB and Building Automation growth strategy. Build long term customer
relationships with Hotel operators, consultants and Channel Partners, and manage resolution to
specific customer needs and issues. Identify and develop sales opportunities for Building Automation
systems and products.
Your main responsibilities will include: -
1. Volume and Profit
Sell Building Automation systems and products to customers focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets for Building Automation and Electrification Products Division.
2. Customer Relations
Establish and maintain effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promote customer understanding of full products/systems/ services offering, and align to provide a solution. Ensure a positive customer experience throughout the sales processes.
3. Sales Plan
Prepare sales plans using company tools. Perform regular status reviews and propose recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls.
Create added value for the customer and ABB and ensure the successful outcome of transactions, contracts and proposals by using effective sales techniques. Communicate details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy (delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions).
Ensure efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers.
6. New Market Opportunities
Identify and drive the development of new market opportunities in the designated market and ensures know-how sharing and cross-collaboration.
Manage administrative procedures in sales processes, and support collection and project management activities when required.
8. Offer Preparation
Prepare offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department and/or the Marketing Manager. Ensure appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions.
Ideally you should have a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably in control and automation with a minimum
experience of 5 years in KNX or similar Building Automation Systems. Excellent exposure to Hospitality, Real Estate
developers and MEP Consultants with an extensive knowledge of Guest Room Management System, Home Automation
and Lighting Control Systems is required. Proven Track record of sales target achievement.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to, Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.
