You as a Sales Operations Manager for RDC (Regional Distribution Centre) will be a part of the Electrification Products division and will be based in Dubai, UAE. In this role, you will be responsible to implement, within a Regional Distribution Center or a local warehouse unit, global processes, best practices and solutions to realize the complete process from orders to delivery (OTR) and be accountable for end of line metrics, e.g. customer on time delivery, lead time, inventory turns and forecast accuracy.
Your tasks as a Sales Operations Manager will include the following:
•Strategy: Responsible for the local implementation of Global and Hub sales operations strategy. Make optimization plans to increase operational excellence and customer satisfaction alongside the orders to remittance process.
•Performance target: Focus on achievement of the assigned targets of forecasting accuracy, inventory turn of finished goods, customer request on-time delivery, lead-time for stock and non-stock items, aging stock, and wrong delivery or transportation damages.
•Integrated business planning (IBP): Ensure the local adoption of the Integrated Business Planning process to align, for the assigned unit, demand with finished goods planning & fulfillment.
•Inventory Management: Implement processes and best practices for finished goods inventory management. Ensure the finished goods inventory local governance process is properly integrated with the supplying process. Propose and Implement process optimization to reduce lead time and inventory. Ensure the visibility and exchange of overstock with others sales operations units within the Hub.
•Planning and Fulfillment: Implement processes and best practices for sales and operations planning (SOP) and purchasing. Establish, support and maintain planning and fulfillment processes. Ensure the accuracy of forecasting process to ABB supply units and external suppliers.
•Logistic: Implement processes and best practices for logistic operations to effectively control the inbound, storage, picking, value added and outbound shipping of products to customers. Ensure special documentation required by customers and customs is properly and efficiently managed. Continuously monitor of 3PL logistic contractors’ performances versus the contractual requirements and cost efficiency targets. Lead the definition of new 3PL logistic contracts and/or modification or renewal of the existing one.
•HSE: Ensure that Group and local health, safety and environmental guidelines and directives are understood and implemented in all RDCs and local sales distribution warehouses.
•Fit-gap solutions or assessment: Lead detailed gap analysis across the sales operations processes and suggest solution to reach the expected service level at optimized inventory levels and costs by utilizing lean six-sigma assessment methods and tools.
•Standards and governance: Implement and ensure compliance with global and local standards, rules, tools, policies and process related to operations execution and share functional best practices and lessons learned across the organization.
•People leadership and development: Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed. Build an effective, capable and high performing organization.
Ideally you should be a Graduate with minimum 10 years of overall experience and 5-7 years of experience in planning or inventory management roles and/or a relevant number of continuous improvement projects executed in the area of sales operations. Well established network inside the planning and fulfilment community of the division. Motivated self-starter, with a keen interest in developing and implementing best practices and innovative solutions. Good command of english. Good project management skills. Excellent SAP MM module knowledge. Ability to promote a team environment. Strong sales and operation planning knowhow and experience. Lean six sigma green belt or superior (must have analytical analysis skills).Strong personal leadership.
