You as a PGTR HBU IMEA Service Manager will be a part of the Power Grids division and will be based in any part of IMEA region. In this role, you will be responsible to lead the growth of the Service business through countries and Business Units or Product Groups to ensure achievement of performance targets and Implement and further develop the Group Service strategy in own area of responsibility. Participate in the creation and roll out of the Service strategy. Drive the localization and implementation of the Service strategy across the HUB.


Your tasks as a PGTR HBU IMEA Service Manager will include the following:

•Service growth: Develop and drive local growth initiatives with the HUB. Recognize white spots and builds and supports business cases for Global Business Unit investment opportunities. Manage entries into new markets together with the Division or Business Unit. Lead cross-country and cross-Business Unit Service mergers and acquisitions.

•Performance Targets: Participate with the HUB in establishing financial targets. Report progress on strategy implementation across the Region.

•Customer Approach: Drive improvement in Service Net Promoter Scores (NPS) across the HUB, building a sustainable customer approach to ensure overall global client growth, satisfaction and retention. Lead processes to reconcile diversity between the Divisions and capitalize on Division synergies in order to shape one voice for Service at ABB.

•Sales : Lead Service sales and account management, working with customers at the top level to position ABB as a service provider and supporting Divisions and Business Units to build up the local presence and local Service stations. Lead installed base (IB) management, identification and market analyses.

•Operational Excellence: Ensure implementation of standard Service platforms across the Business Units. Promote synergies and develops Service delivery processes to drive efficiency. Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement of the business, promoting sharing of experience and leading practices in Service across the Regions and Business Units.

•Service organization: Responsible for optimizing the Service delivery process. Leads consolidation of functions across the Region where applicable, e.g. training, logistics and spares. Lead in the identification and building of hubs to serve across geographies.

•Health, safety and Integrity: Drive day to day service safety and integrity and implements Group initiatives in order to embed a culture of health and safety and integrity across the organization.

•People leadership and Development: Drive the development of local capabilities and the implementation of cross-Business Unit development and training programs. Leads development of domain expertise.


Ideally you should have a Bachelor Degree in BA or BS Engineering (MBA preferred) with minimum 10 years’ of experience in service sales or field services. Experience in leading mid-size teams with Profit & Loss accountability. Strong background in transformers and/or the power industry.
