You will execute service work within Industrial Automation Business, based out of Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. Reporting to the Service Manager, your hands-on experience and knowledge of customer needs will help you not only to build strong customer relationships, but also to identify new business opportunities.

Your responsibilities

  • Commissioning and Installation of dragline rotating equipment (including Thrust Bearings, Pedestal bearings and associated components).
  • Aligning Motors (Laser) and Generators (Airgap and shaft, incl. 16 pt. checks).
  • Troubleshooting dragline rotating equipment (Vibration, temperature, alignment, etc.).
  • Conducting Mechanical Performance reviews (AC and DC Rotating Equipment).
  • Maintaining strong relationships with Mining Customers.
  • Performing breakdown and troubleshooting service.

Your background

  • Trade qualification and experience in the Mechanical Field.
  • Current Australian issued motor vehicle Driver’s License.
  • Experience in Rotating Equipment - Maintenance and Troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Flanders and Westinghouse Rotating equipment.
  • Understanding of large AC and DC rotating equipment.
  • Flexibility with working hours and willingness to travel nationally.
  • Self-motivated, ability to work remotely with good self-management and time management skills.
