Tasks:

Support top-management of global units in the definition and implementation of the respective strategy.

Define and implement business strategies and plans for profitable growth including new
services and white spots (organic and inorganic) in business segment of PG. Align with identified market needs and growth areas. Proactively develop differentiating strategic ideas, alternative business scenarios, etc. for the respective global business.

Set targets in agreement with PG manager and monitor main KPI via product line reporting in identified units / markets to ensure growth and profitability of the business line as well as ensure implementation of defined solutions developed by solution management. Engage units globally to train and support on assigned business line. Drive systematic process to ensure coverage of installed based customers and opportunities. Manage portfolio of offerings within Business Line.

Leads and contributes to strategy definition and execution through the analysis and identification of markets, customer segments, competitive moves, offerings of respective global business, etc.

Works closely with the global business management team to identify, define and follow-up the strategy and business plans and supports the implementation. Ensures optimized delivery and use of various global
(customer, competitor, financial, business, or market) information within business decision making.

Develops new business through market research (of both competitor and customer moves) by systematically analyzing and monitoring market dynamics and updating market intelligence. Develops appropriate communications for the key audiences and communicates outputs effectively to the right people.

Analyzes customer needs for the portfolio, securing customer advantages and benefits as well as conducting white spot analysis and defining relevant strategies to penetrate the market. Identifies opportunities and drives actions necessary to expand into the newly defined area. Works closely with Marketing and Sales as well as Solution / Product Management.

Participates in the budgeting process, jointly with Global Product Group Manager and Controller. Participates in the Business, Operations and Solutions Planning with other members of the Product Group Management team, and takes actions related to Business Line function

Identifies partnership opportunities and participates in the definition of partnership agreements

Builds and maintains relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Serves as an escalation point for individual and systemic sales and business development issues. Works in close cooperation with the BU Sales and Marketing Function, the Automation Products PG Product Segment Managers and the BU Communication Functions.

In agreement with PG manager identifies LPGs for which business line shall be pursued, sets targets for top line and profitability and monitors both using product line reporting in respective LPGs in order to profitably grow in selected markets / units. Ensure implementation of defined solutions in LPGs relevant to business line.

Follows and implements global guidelines for service contracts. For project related work, works closely with tendering and delivery unit as needed to identify and mitigate risks.

Must work closely across businesses across the globe to influence and guide organization for portfolio. Must lead for results.

Requirements:

- Engineering Degree
- 5-8 years of work experience in excitation service business in sales, business development or service management role
- Very good understanding of excitation product and service portfolio and offering
- Good understanding of excitation market and its players
- Disciplined, structured, and high committed to the results
- Change management capabilities
- Able to engage and motivate people in different cultures
- Fluent in English both written and spoken
- Strong presentation skills – oral and written
- Sales and marketing experience a plus
