Tasks:

Provide competent functional country support throughout the Country.Ensure that the respective organization operates in alignment with security standards. Implements region security plan according to agreed key performance indicators (KPIs). Coach, support and provide advice to country leadership and line managers on security matters, and report on security performances of the respective organizations along ABB's value chain.

Scope of the role:
• Respond to and investigate security related incidents and allegations.
• Lead security awareness training related to workplace violence, crisis management, security incident response and investigation, WPV (work place violence) threat assessment team methodology, and travel security.
• Consult with business leaders regarding risks impacting business operations and project security.
• Coordinate crisis management training and country task force activations.
• Consult with site leaders on physical security concerns and implementation of the Group Technical Security blueprint.
• Lead and/or conduct facility security assessments (audits) IAW Group standards.
• Serve as member of the Canadian Sustainability Board.
• Liaison with local, province, and national law enforcement agencies.
• Coordinate and/or lead special event security and executive protection details.
• Provide security support for large projects within Canada.
• Guard force management (IFM and non-IFM)
• Support Americas Region Security Operations as deemed appropriate.

Requirements:

• University or college degree in related field
• 10 years’ experience in a security role.
• Experience in law enforcement or military an asset
• Bilingual (French and English) with excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills reading and writing skills.
• Excellent knowledge of environmental and health and safety legislative requirements within the geography of responsibilities.
• Excellent computer skills (Excel, Data base management).
• Availability to travel 40%
