• To develop the EPDS Service business in Western Canada covering Alberta and British Columbia
• Develop sales strategy for the region based on installed base and local/global portfolio and capabilities using installed base information to drive proactive sales initiatives focusing on identified opportunities based on sectors, segments and key accounts.
• Plan and carry out customer contact plan in alignment with sales strategy.
• Lead development of strategy on opportunities and lead proposal development working with EPDS Sales, PG Sales, EPDS Service Sales & Marketing Manager and the proposal team.
• Develop and maintain accurate opportunity pipeline using Salesforce for forecasting, reporting and management reviews.
• Provide technical presentations to clients and develop technical solutions related to the EPDS Service portfolio and local capabilities.
• Take ownership of installed base information (ServIS); Update Servis with installed base information gathered during customer meetings, customer visits, etc.. Utilize installed base information for proactive sales initiatives
• Create and maintain relationships with customers, internal ABB channels, distributors and other channels in order to position ABB for success.
• Work direct through customers or in concert with ABB Sales Channels in developing opportunities
• Coordinate and participate in promotional activities and trade shows to market products and services
• A strong safety focus and safety attitude required at all times


• Strong technical background coming from Field Service or other technical field supported by degree or diploma as Electrical Engineer or Technologist
• 5-7 years of technical experience in electrical distribution including low and medium voltage (600V-38kV) including sales and business development
• Specific knowledge of LV and MV switchgear and breakers is mandatory; ABB switchgear experience would be an asset
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to work in a deadline driven environment, where growth plan is 10% year over year.
• Ability to travel at least 50% of time
