Commercial Operation Manager

The High Voltage Group is looking for a Commercial Operation Manager to support its growth plan. Reporting to the General Manager, the Commercial Operation Manager is responsible and accountable for the efficient commercial operation activities for the High Voltage business.

Tasks:

The position requires broad knowledge of diverse operations and ability to independently resolve complex problems, ability to communicate effectively, act decisively and influence decisions of senior managers and customers, foresight to anticipate problems and recognize opportunities for cost-effectively improving operations.

• Oversee all High Voltage commercial projects with direct supervision of Contract Administrators and Project Managers and ensure that High Voltage business meets its targets.
• Plan, schedule, assign work, and ensure activities are in compliance with Company policies, procedures, codes and regulations. Monitor quality on projects and initiate responsive measures as applicable. Anticipate and introduce timely, effective actions to resolve problems.
• Establish and implement all operational processes for High Voltage business.
• Participate in setting annual budgets including operating expenses, revenues, receivables and monitoring results to ensure performance against plan.
• Support quality system ISO for High Voltage Group.
• Act as lead for Operation Excellence activities. Identify and develop new opportunities for operation improvement and costs savings for the High Voltage business.
• Work closely with other stakeholders in High Voltage business.
• Act as owner of Customer Satisfaction and lead Customer Issue Resolution process.

Requirements:

• Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business or Engineering with ten to fifteen years of related experience in Commercial Operation. Project Management experience is a must and PMP Certification will be considered an asset. Good knowledge and understanding of technology and service as it relates to Operation of a Product and Service business.
• Language Skills: Excellent communication skills, fluent in English & French (oral and written). Ability to read, analyze and interpret common commercial and business documents. Ability to effectively present financial and commercial information to management and other employees within the organization.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of financial inputs, reports and discussions and reach sound business and commercial decisions.
• Other Skills and Abilities: Requires in-depth understanding of corporate and business unit technical and commercial strengths, interrelationships with markets, ability to resolve complex problems, and interpret cause and effect. Requires strategic planning skills and ability to translate corporate and business unit goals and objectives into realistic execution plan. Understanding of operation improvement concepts.
• Good leadership skills to guide and develop team members reporting to the position

• Strong knowledge and experience with ERP System (SAP).

• Knowledge of Lean-Six Sigma methodology: Green Belt will be considered an asset
