ABB Power Grids offers power and automation products, systems and service solutions across the generation, transmission and distribution value chain - enabling a stronger, smarter and greener power grid.

You will be responsible for the sale of cutting-edge ABB products/systems/services/solutions associated with our Transformer Services Engineering & Repair portfolio in the Power Grids Division of ABB Canada located in Alberta. Reporting to the {Transformer Services Sales Manager}, you will use your experience and drive to build long-standing customer relationships, identifying effective solutions for customer needs.

Your responsibilities

  • Driving sales volume and margin across the Power Grids Transformer Services Engineering & Repair (TRES) portfolio.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships through excellent service and your knowledge of customer needs and ABB solutions.
  • Preparing sales plans and bids, with marketing and other departments, ensuring technical and financial accuracy.
  • Contributing to the identification and development of new market opportunities in collaboration with the wider Sales team.
  • Monitoring customer and market trends to develop effective marketing activities in collaboration with the Marketing team.
  • Responsible to build pipeline of opportunities and maintain accurate forecasts (Using Salesforce)
  • Review ABB’s Installed Base System and propose a path forward to capitalize on this information.
  • Grow and penetrate ABB’s key accounts, strategic accounts and other accounts (in utility and industrial sectors).
  • Gather and maintain market intelligence on ABB & competitor position in the local market; using the information to help support stronger decision making.

Your background

  • Engineering/Bachelor Degree/Technologist Diploma or proven outside sales experience
  • More than {7} years of experience in Sales.
  • Sound knowledge of {Electrical Transmission/Distribution/Generation} and the {local Industrial} market.
  • Knowledge of {Transformers a definite asset }.
  • Proven ability to sell “Service” a strong attribute
  • Competency in digital solution around electrical equipment ie. Online monitoring devices, asset management systems etc.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships.
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
