We are looking for a person with a proven track record in handling commercial aspects and controlling, who is eager to bring in her/his knowhow into a growing and evolving service business. In this role you will be responsible to establish good practices and guidelines in commercial aspects for the service network as well support and review agreements with certain complexity. In your role you will be part of the Commercial Management and Controlling team. Do you combine a solid financial background with commercial expertise? Your responsibilities

  • Provide professional support to Global Product Group by reviewing all financial, commercial and tax-related aspects and assisting with the process of drawing up contractual agreements
  • Advising on ABB’s contractual entitlements to protect cash flow, margins and prevention of disputes. Apply a proactive approach to review and commenting of commercial terms and conditions. In the tender phase, identify major risk and raise bid clarifications and contract deviations accordingly.
  • Owner of the risk review process at PG level ensuring that the processes are defined and legal templates for service contracts are up to date
  • Analysis of business performance vs. budget and forecast while ensuring high quality of reporting related to assigned Hub LDivs
  • Supports the quarterly assurance reporting according to the guidelines of the Group
  • Maintain close dialogue with all relevant departments, address issues relating to corporate governance, enforce finance/business directives and implement internal control processes.
  • Consult local units in Trade Finance possibilities and coordinate among involved parties
  • Coordinate trade compliance and export control with division trade compliance owner
  • Provide training to Global Product Group sales staff on contract management and promote commercial awareness in the whole organization
  • Participate in division projects as coach or review member, depending on the project structure
  • Analysis of monthly figures and take corrective actions related to assigned Hub LDivs
  • Supports the quarterly assurance reporting according to the guidelines of the Group

Your background

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or Economics (or similar), complemented by 5+ years’ experience in commercial management, project controlling or similar functions
  • Sound knowledge in Contractual and Legal matters related to customer contracts
  • Experience working in international environment along with interaction with people in many countries/cultures
  • Service minded and with the mind set to support the business
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office applications
  • Fluent in English, German language skills would be an asset
