Repairing and testing of LV & MV Variable Speed Drives to meet customers’ needs and demand. This includes hands on technical repairs, supporting factory activities, providing technical support and reporting. You will be responsible for the end to end repair & testing process, while always looking for continuous improvement in the Drives repair facility

Tasks:

• Health & Safety leadership – take responsibility for workshop H&S standards
• Ensure ethical behaviour in line with code of conduct
• Ability to work alone
• Planning and time management skills
• Excellent IT skills, use of software system and applications
• Good knowledge of maintenance and repair techniques
• Commitment to self-development, continuous knowledge and skills improvement through formal and hands on training
• Excellent knowledge of VSD & Electronic components
• Find new innovative ways to enhance the workshop profile – the future of repairs
• Understanding of Customer Service principles and their effect on the business
• Integrate into the wider ABB business areas developing cross business network
• To ensure compliance with Sustainability Processes, Quality Management Systems, Safety Procedures and Accountancy Policies
• Interact and work directly with customers at varying levels to meet their repair and reporting expectations
• Responsive to customer requests
• Develop and maintain key customer relationships

Requirements:

Essential
• High degree of technical knowledge of VSD Products and services
• Strong workshop background
• Demonstrate excellent customer focus and communication skills
• Technical Qualification in Electrical Engineering (Minimum ONC or equivalent)
• Good networking and strong people skills.
• Results orientated
• IT skills

Desirable
• Experience of different business sectors and industry familiarisation
