The Global Onshore specialist is responsible for creating and executing internal and external onshore segment marketing communications plans and campaigns to grow volume, revenue, and profit within identified targeted audiences - driving collaboration for marketing and communications activities across all Hub business units and sales channels globally. Additionally, he/she will be responsible for developing marketing communications plans and campaigns to grow the ABB Ability digital solutions portfolio for oil, gas and chemicals. He/She creates compelling messages and content, in line with the global business strategy, to ensure existing and future customers have the right message, offer and experience. The specialist delivers customer insights and sales enablement tools to ensure customer pain points and the voice of the customer are well understood by all stakeholders.

Tasks:

• Develop and execute strategy and integrated marketing plans for Product Group Onshore with a specialty focus on Digital solutions in coordination with the Product Group Onshore Manager and global business unit communications team
• Execute marketing communications campaigns across all identified marketing tactics and tools; demand generation, email marketing, digital marketing and advertising, marketing automation, nurture campaigns, social media, web content, landing pages
• Analyze and report campaign results / metrics and communicate with stakeholders
• Lead internal collaboration across Hub business units and sales channels to tell the entire ABB story for onshore and digital, share marketing tools and strategies
• Create and implement engaging messaging / value propositions around industry pain points
• Research customer trends and market information to develop customer insights for onshore and digital and report insights to executive management, business units and sales channels
• Monitor key client issues and emerging market trends and build this intelligence into marketing strategies and programs
• Work with global key accounts and sales to develop comprehensive sales enablement tools; sales training, customer presentations for all onshore and digital sales channels globally. Incorporate voice of customer throughout
• Translate global ABB Ability solutions into tangible, marketable solutions that are relevant for onshore audience and sales
• Develop and direct content production and editing for marketing campaigns; white papers, advertisements, newsletters, infographics, editorial features
• Work to develop global messaging framework for thought leadership that drives editorial content and stories
• Work with local countries and regions to provide strategic direction and messaging for select events. Develop new, innovative tools and demos to deliver key message
• Participate in customer meetings as necessary
• Facilitate collaboration across additional ABB businesses to serve onshore and digital with a complete ABB offering and message
• Manage agency relationships
• Manage and adhere to industry marketing communications budgets while maximizing impact

Requirements:

Basic qualifications:
Knowledge
• BS/BA Degree in Engineering with marketing and communications experience or Marketing Specialist with good technical and communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Proven extensive experience in segment or channel marketing & communications
• Proficient with software used by marketing communications including Adobe suite, Photoshop, In Design, Flash, CMS (content management systems such as Sitefinity), html design a plus
• Familiarity with marketing automation and email tools
• MBA preferred
• Knowledge of ABB Ability digital solutions portfolio

• Track record of developing strategies and implementing marketing programs to achieve defined targets
• Excellent writing and presentation skills
• Self-starter, strong networker with an interest in technology issues and have strategic thinking capability combined with hands-on approach to translate plans to actions and monitor and report on progress

• Able to express technically complex content in easy to understand form
• Demonstrated experience with synthesizing information from many sources to create usable insights
• Familiar with professional use of text, graphics and illustration tools as well as digital communications

Experience
• Experience of marketing or marketing communications experience in B2B environment with global oil and gas businesses with familiarity of the onshore industry segment and experience developing marketing communications strategies specific to oil, gas and chemicals
• Experience with managing budgets
• Overseas secondment experience
• Experience in marketing metrics and ROIs
• Leadership / management experience working in a matrix organization
