Responsible to manage technical aspect of service offerings from Sales through to project delivery to ensure unit delivers high quality, compliant, cost effective and timely engineering solutions to customers. Formulate and plan requirements to meet financial, technical and contractual targets. Ensure team's compliance with standard processes, procedures and safety requirements. Provide leadership, management and coordination of the engineering detail across the business unit. Responsible for technical marketing of the entire service portfolio for Transformer Service in the UK and Ireland. To maximize the ABB market potential and opportunity. Visiting potential clients to present technical offerings and secure business, ensuring continual update of ABB’s sales and marketing tool with visit reports and opportunities. Interfacing and working with tendering to prepare suitable technical offers, fully costed. With operations to ensure fit to business capabilities and maximize opportunities to better Client expectations. Supporting the provision of marketing and pipeline forecasts, data and strategy to support business growth

Your responsibilities

Order Intake Work with WCFE and Sales Manager to deliver required order intake with improved percentage of TCS offerings
Technical contribution Defines and ensures implementation of technical requirements and scope limitations for TCS Service offerings. Oversees progress and manages technical issues. Drives performance to ensure that deliverables are met on time, as per the set contract, safety and quality requirements.
Reporting and documentation Manages all required reporting and documentation. Ensures all necessary data has been checked, approved and registered in a timely manner both internally, externally.
One ABB Cooperates and coordinates activities with other ABB units and teams to harmonize Service activities.
Customer and sales Ensures delivery of technical solutions according to customer requirements, working with Sales and Tendering team. Drives development of processes based on customer feedback and ABB processes and procedures, taking into account HSE legislation. Provides engineering support during the bid phase, ensures that the resources required to deliver the technical solutions are correctly accounted. Manages the customer relationships, develops long term relationship with key customers. Works with the customer to shape and deliver solutions – seeks feedback and innovates with the customer to drive and deliver improvement. Works with Sales to target new markets and Clients. Presents TCS offerings client events
Planning and control Working with the Operations Manager ensures that all the FS team is adequately developed and equipped to meet business needs. Creates work plans and cost estimates for engineering work.
Risk and opportunity management Ensures completion of risk and opportunity assessments and implementation of resulting actions across projects.
Supply chain management Checking and approving design of special purchase items for projects.
Technical leadership and development Facilitates best practice sharing within the team. Guides the business in building engineering capability through training and mentoring programs. Supports business unit in establishing and deploying required processes. Ensures processes are in place to capture and share best practices and operational experiences.
Processes and tools Develop and drive continuous improvement activities to improve processes, policies, procedures and effectiveness.

ABB People
To interface with TCS LPG, Tendering, Operations and Sales Managers as well as the WCFE Sales team within UK and Ireland
Motivate and direct WCFE sales team to achieve targets for the business
Ensure ethical behaviour
Working with Sales Manager, own delivery of sales targets
ABB Organisation
Local marketing and product strategy
Along with Sales Manager recommend, develop and implement local TCS marketing and portfolio strategy in line with overall business strategy.
Responsibility to develop a strategy within organizational framework for profitable growth, building customer relationship for TCS Offerings
Sales targets
Ensure sales budget is met or exceeding including KPIs.
