Senior Consultant – Lean Six Sigma

As a result of dynamic growth of our organization we are currently looking to hire a Senior Consultant for our Internal Consulting Group to provide professional consulting services and expertise in: Performance and Operational Improvement, Operational and Manufacturing Excellence, shopfloor efficiency and lean manufacturing. The Lean Six Sigma Practice is focused on leading and supporting ABB BUs in transforming into Lean Six Sigma operations with a world class level of excellence in customer focus, quality and efficiency. Leading and executing professional and highly qualified transformation projects in quality & operational excellence to support ABB Group / Business Units on a global scale in achieving their operational objectives. Possible work locations: Milan, Baden, Vasteras

Tasks:

• Maximize the value creation for ABB by supporting Division, Region and Functional Leaders in implementation of their various initiatives and actions primarily in the following functional areas: Strategy Implementation, Continuous Improvement, Marketing & Sales, Product Development/Engineering, Planning & Fulfillment, Procurement & Logistics, Quality, Project & Site Management, Manufacturing and Service
• Leads larger project teams including members from BU/Division teams in conceptualizing the needed improvement and supports ABB business project managers in implementing the change within defined project goals, budget and time-frame
• Works independently to facilitate and lead business improvement projects in ABB different business units by knowing what to focus on and what to do, and identify of operational difficulties/challenges, and lead the team in the recommendation of ideas and solutions to improve the ABB operational metrics
• Promote and share project solutions with other ICG team members across all ICG units to maximize best practice sharing and re-use of processes, tools and expertise knowledge to expand the Corporate Memory / Best Practice Framework. May lead a practice activity for a specific competence area within ICG organization
• Understands and plans complex business improvement projects and bring needed specialist know-how to projects utilizing different resources within ICG

Requirements:

Lean Six Sigma Expertise:
• Based on extensive experience in Lean Six Sigma environments and improvement projects provide deep expertise on Lean Six Sigma methods, tools and organization

L6S Transformation:
• Define transformation projects based on insights on transformation needs in respective units. Lead projects globally related to L6S transformation with significant scope and solves critical questions/problems
• Maintain a close collaboration with Internal Consultant Group (ICG) fully leveraging the existing competencies and resources

Change Management:
• Convince and motivate ABB business leaders and team members to take transformative improvements steps towards Lean Six Sigma operations
• Apply ability to influence others at all levels of an organization
