Tasks:

We are seeking an Area Sales Manager to join our team in Malaysia who will be responsible to support the defined sales organization and customers throughout the sales process in the assigned area. You are responsible to increase new and existing business by supporting the sales organization to have relevant knowledge of products and markets.

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, your key areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to:

• Participate in sales strategy discussions and assist in developing product group sales
• Analyze customer needs and competitor offers through general market information, ensure efficient marketing actions and communicates the value proposition of the products, systems, service and packages
• Support local sales organization to determine the most appropriate and cost-effective solutions and in preparation of demanding offers
• Provide technical support during meeting, product presentations and negotiations and offer training
• Define the transfer price and selling products, systems and service to local sales organization focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets
• Ensure efficient customer issue resolution analyze lost proposals to increase future competitiveness

Requirements:

Key requirements include:
• Bachelor degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
• Experience in selling technical products with long sales cycles
• Experience in engineering in a manufacturing environment

Candidates applying for this role must have ability to work in a multinational team. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are required.
