We are an international pioneering technology leader that is writing the future of industrial digitalization. More than 10 years ago, our Information Systems Delivery Center was built up. Two years ago we successfully merged into the newly created Global Business Services organization. This allowed us to expand our global activities and support even further. To strengthen our Project Management team, we are looking for an Application Manager with the experience of managing global applications/services and ITIL knowledge. Tasks:

• Ensure that the application services being provided to customers are aligned to the customers’ need for them following Service Level Management process framework
• Establish a working relationship with customers, understanding their need for IT application services, and managing the introduction of new application services, application service improvements, and (eventually) service reductions and retirements
• Ensure proper governance by participating (or leading) Steering Committee meetings and by leading business reference team, operations steering committees
• Manage and develop the quality of application services in scope by negotiating, monitoring, and maintaining Service Level respectively managing
• Manage the application delivery team: operations, release and change management and rollout support including also internal and external suppliers/service providers
• Manage the global overall budget including agreement with Stakeholders on business funded investments
• Communication to stakeholders, including news, announcements and metrics reporting
• Cooperation with other Service & Application Managers and alignment other existing and planned application services
• Manage and lead the project team including staffing, resource planning, HR related activities such as people review and career planning and ensuring that contracts exist for each resource
• Increase usage and drive strategy for the service
• Within the Service Level management proactively lead continuous improvement
• Responsible to maintain roadmap planning incorporation technical, architectural and usage aspects
• Contribute to develop Service Management processes within application operations
• Identify new opportunities for services provided

Requirements:

• Senior manager with 5yrs+ experience working in a global team
• Experience of managing global application/services or implementation projects.
• Thorough knowledge of IT service management concepts (ITIL).
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Strong project management skills and business process knowledge
• Ability to promote a team environment.
• Strong negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills.
• Ability to promote a team environment with strong leadership skills
