The role of Sales Manager will be a part of the Robotics and Motion (RM) Division based in Doha, Qatar. Key applications include energy conversion, actuation, automation, standardized manufacturing cells for applications such as machine tending, welding, cutting, painting, finishing, palletizing and packing, and engineered systems for the automotive industry. The role will be responsible to ensure execution of local division sales strategy, profitability and volume target achievement of products and services. You will lead Qatar RM team & be focused on identifying customers, building relationships, following appropriate sales process steps, and executing commercial negotiations.

Tasks:

Main responsibilities will include:

1. Division Strategy Execution
Localize and execute respective Division and BU strategies. As fully integrated members of the Group Divisions worldwide team act as the extended arm of the Group Divisions and Business Units, and to ensure that there is only one set of numbers and only One Team.

2. Performance Targets
Define performance targets for the local team in liaison with the Region and Division, and ensure that performance targets are achieved.

3. Division Strategy Development
Pro-actively participate in the continuous strategic process by providing Local input.

4. Group initiatives / Projects
With support of Local Division Manager act as local coordinator and driver of common Group, Division and BU initiatives such as feeder factories / local engineering centers, e.g. global logistics, investment, global sourcing.

5. Business Opportunities
As the key front line manager to focus on new business opportunities and synergies between different Local Divisions and Local Business Units, promoting growth and continuous improvement.

6. Country Management
Represent the division in the Qatar country management team as well as in Southern Gulf cluster management team and ensure initiative contribution and cooperation.

7. Sales
Set local sales and marketing strategy and facilitate proactively execution taking active personal sales role in situations as deemed necessary to ensure successful business to the company.

8. HR
Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed and the desired talent and competencies are in place. Guide, coach, motivate and develop the direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies and safety policies.

Requirements:


As an ideal candidate, you should have a bachelor's degree in engineering or in business management with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in projects, products and service business. Knowledge of local market dynamics and cultural environment in Qatar with thorough understanding of RM division products and solutions offering is required. Sound knowledge of commercial aspects of customer contracts with a wide understanding of various types of industrial and domestic customer needs and sales channels is a must along with good understanding of accounting and financial reporting.
Apart from this, you should have strong strategic thinking with an ambition and drive to generate active business growth. Successful personnel management and motivation with systematic approach to operational excellence along with international experience on the job and good understanding of cultural sensitivity and strong communication skills is required.
