As Enterprise Software Sales Manager with ABB Grid Automation, you will be responsible to identify and drive business opportunities throughout the Northern Europe (NEU) market by leading the team and taking direct sales responsibility for strategic business activity to achieve overall growth. Reporting to the Grid Automation Marketing and Sales Manager for Northern Europe, in this role you will be part of the global sales management team and be responsible for developing and securing new business for the ABB Enterprise Software portfolio in the energy sector leveraging the strength of the complete ABB Grid Automation portfolio and footprint. You and your team will work closely with the product management, sales and marketing organizations to drive growth and market share. You’ll identify and create opportunities in the market to position ABB’s unique software portfolio to challenge and displace the incumbent in new areas and expand the portfolio and share of wallet in existing markets. Tasks:

In this role you will be responsible for managing the sales team and implementing the overall strategies and processes for the local business unit. Your mission will be to develop and implement a strategic business plan for the territory that together with the successful management of the sales team leads to sustainable growth.

As Northern Europe Sales Manager for Enterprise Software you will lead a team of 6 sales managers throughout the region and be responsible for securing business for the full ES portfolio with particular focus on CALMTM - Connected Asset Lifecycle Management. You and your team are responsible for the complete market facing activity and customer engagement to ensure successful and sustainable business growth for Enterprise Software (ES). You will have the full support of the product, marketing, tendering, and commercial teams in the Global Product Group and will also leverage and integrate with the wider sales community for ABB Power Grids.

You will be responsible for developing and deploying the ES/CALM solutions sales strategy in the region. You will report directly to the Northern Europe Hub BU Marketing & Sales Manager, and functionally to the Local Product Group Manager.

Requirements:

The successful candidate has a minimum 5 years of experience from system sales for the transmission and distribution segment, along with at least one year in a leadership position, managing a sales team, with a proven track record of building highly efficient teams. A relevant Master’s Degree is considered additional value; however, we equally value profound understanding of the technology, market and how to manage and lead others.

As a person, you are process-oriented and you possess a sales profile with technical and commercial background, where you can both understand and shape the content of a technical specifications. You have a strategic and innovative mindset and demonstrate the ability to drive strategy implementation, and following through to deliver results. You enjoy leading and developing your team, while simultaneously collaborating with others in order to achieve set goals.

Proficiency in English is required. The role can be based in either Sweden or in the UK; if Sweden-based, proficiency in Swedish or another Scandinavian language, written and spoken alike, is also required.
