Tasks:

Performs assessments to establish maturity levels and identify gaps in operational processes in order to recommend improvement programs that will strengthen the operational results of a business

• Lead a functional team to identify, develop, and implement a Lean Transformation strategy for identified facilities within the HUB
• Lead site leaders to create and execute the Lean Transformational strategy
• Conduct leadership and employee team training and provide ‘Sensei-Type’ coaching to facility and HUB leadership to develop their expertise over time
• Support the EPIP BU with various Lean Manufacturing
• Communicate to top level management current transformation status and future opportunities
• Work with Opex Team and HUB Leadership to develop an overall operating model for the HUB
• Performs assessments to establish maturity levels and identify gaps in operational processes in order to recommend improvement programs that will strengthen the operational results of a business.
• Leaders multi-functional, HUB improvement projects to analyze problems, identify best solutions and implement permanent improvements to operational effectiveness.
• Provides training and certification of continuous improvements trainers/coaches in order to spread the successful application of continuous improvement techniques in the company.
• Identifies, documents and spreads best practices through the use of benchmarking, surveys and case studies to establish frameworks of preferred business practices.
• Communicates and assists with the implementation of the HUB Operational Excellence strategy.
• Leads the development of new solutions for complex projects/challenges.
• Coaches others in HUB on quality processes and problem solving techniques.
• Partners with leadership to assess current processes and to identify improvement opportunities
• Lead processes for selecting, scoping, prioritizing, and executing projects to deliver business objectives and improvements through Kaizens, Lean Six Sigma Projects, etc.
• Plan and drive the execution of various transformation projects and programs targeted towards improving the business performance
• Provide leadership/mentoring/training to all levels of the organization on the practical application of Lean SixSigma methodologies, strategy deployment, and project management

Requirements:

Basic Qualifications

• 4 year degree required
• 13+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations or supply chain
• 10+ years of operational/lean experience with proven ability to implement a CI/Lean Management System
• 10+ Years of experience teaching/instructing and implementing Lean Manufacturing Techniques
• 5+ years of supervisory/management/leadership experience In a manufacturing organization

Master's degree in lieu of two years experience

Preferred Qualifications
• 4 year degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or similar
• Experience in a high mix low volume industry is a plus
• Proven ability to drive improvement savings and teaching lean techniques to all levels of the organization to move them into a self-sustaining mode
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor, coach, and effectively develop others
• Experience with process improvement tools: Lean and or Six Sigma certification
• Change Management experience
• Sound business acumen


MBA or relevant master’s degree (in-process)
Green or Black Belt
