This role provides manufacturing engineering services for close tolerance machining.

Your responsibilities

Provide technical engineering services for close tolerance machining operations.

Resolve and troubleshoot manufacturing issues as they arise.

Drive productivity and process improvements into the machining areas of responsibility.

Drive cost reduction ideas while not sacrificing quality, productivity or customer satisfaction.

Able to manage multiple projects effectively.

Able to present ideas in organized and persuasive form, both oral and written.

Provide other managerial services as required.

Your background

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering completed by June 2019.
OR
Master’s Degree in Engineering

*A Master’s Degree in required field = Credit given for 2 years of work experience.
*A PhD/Doctorate in required field = Credit given for 3 years of work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

3+ years or more of manufacturing experience in a hands on steel and iron 2-4 axis machining environment.

Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially the use of MS
PowerPoint, Word and Excel

Lean Manufacturing and ergonomics are key knowledge areas

CNC Programming, Solidworks, AutoCAD and Tool Design experience

Gear manufacturing experience including hobbing,shaping and gear tooth grinding.

Cylindrical grinding experience

Case carburization heat treating experience.




Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
