Your responsibilities

Marine Site Manager, Propulsion positions offered by ABB Inc. (Miramar, FL). Responsible for managing the commissioning and maintenance work for propulsion engines that will be carried out on a shipyard or ship during a project execution including negotiating contracts and working closely with project management to provide the correct solutions and proposals to our customers.

Your background

Requires 5 years of experience in the position offered or 5 years of experience executing services and inspections for large marine propulsion bearings and seals. Requires 5 years of experience: performing and leading field service jobs in large marine propulsion electric podded azimuth thrusters (>2MW/pod); performing and leading field jobs during Dry Docks on cruise ships; tracking service orders, purchase orders and working time in SAP; performing maintenance of electrical motors and generators, changing bearings, re-cabling stators, installing couplings and performing alignments; and performing borescope inspections on bearings. Also requires 2 years of experience overseeing and performing training for large marine propulsion electric podded azimuth thrusters (>2MW/pod).
