Your responsibilities

  • Consulting Field Resident Engineer positions offered by ABB Inc. (Point Comfort, TX). Responsible for providing technical support, design and engineering of multiple ABB and the following 3rd party technologies HP-UX 10.20 (UNIX), VMWare, Matrox KVM Extenders, OPC Protocol, Modbus RTU required for process control and asset integration.

Your background

  • Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in chemical engineering, electronic engineering or a related field and 2 years of experience in the position offered or 2 years of experience performing design, configuration and optimization of control loop applications used for chemical processes. Also requires 2 years of experience: performing discrete device control, interlock logic control and batch control following ISA S88 Standards; applying the following legacy systems: Siemens (S7) and Texas Instruments (TI505); and performing front end engineering design (FEED) studies for integrated control and safety systems (ICSS). Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
