Our goal is to create a supply base that works as an extended enterprise for us, creating value through constantly improving quality, technology, logistics, and so on, while optimizing cost. In this role, you will be globally responsible for defining our Supply Chain Management (SCM) strategy focused on optimizing costs, quality, delivery and reliability of suppliers and supplied products for the Electronic Components category. The job location is flexible, the preferred ones are Frankfurt (Germany), Valdarno (Tuscany, Italy), and Helsinki (Finland).

In this role, you will manage a considerable annual spend through direct negotiation (external), and impacting several hundreds of MUSD though market intelligence, with very high category complexity and low / medium category maturity. Ensures highly qualified and engaged team in place delivering superior cost management performance.

The main tasks include:

Define Global Sourcing Strategy for Electronic Components category and ensure its execution the Continuous Improvement Process Sourcing (CIPS) process. Drive alignment with R&D and Technology collaboration with the selected partners.

Ensure that adequate Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) methodology is implemented. Secure appropriate planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, emerging country spending and savings forecasts routines are in place for Electronic Components category globally, as per SCM instructions and procedures.

Keep global supplier contracts in accordance with quality and commercial procedures and with Company guidelines. Secure availability though agreements, with focus also on Obsoletes and Last Buy Orders issues. Own and share the knowledge or the electronics market trend in terms of availability and price trend.

Formulate and adapt corporate contractual framework to the Electronic Components category business needs globally. Responsible and accountable for all global frame agreements and price contracts within Electronic Components category. Provide and maintains standard terms in purchase contracts/terms and conditions in line with Company directives and guidelines.

Ensures that cost-out programs and/or processes are designed and implemented to reach financial targets, whenever needed. Participates in Make-or-Buy projects related to Electronic Components category globally.

In line with the Global Category Electronics, set global budgets and targets within the Electronic Components category. Ensure the Category sourcing performance targets are achieved.

Support the introduction of electronic components and technology through strategic procurement and in close collaboration with R&D and Technology department. Drive introduction of standard and innovative tools at Global level (e.g. Component databased, BOM management, etc.), to secure the strategy implementation in full coordination with R&D department.


- University degree preferably in Electronic Engineering or related disciplines

- At least 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management preferably in Category Management in multi-national companies, having managed an annual volume of at least 100 MUSD

- Experience of electronic components and/or PCBA sourcing, Technical understanding in Electronic Components business is preferred

- Understanding of manufacturing process of the PCBA and Box Build

- Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills

- Fluency in English, written and oral

- Dynamic, broad-minded, result-oriented personality

- Flexibility to travel, as needed, between 30% to 50%
