Every train needs a unique motor for its purpose. ABB holds a complete and flexible traction motor portfolio that allows us to build the perfect solution for train operators – regardless of train type, power range or geographical location. Each motor is tailor-made to customer requirements and to the operation conditions of each train that it powers; enabling superior efficiency, lowest energy consumption and high reliability.
Now you have the opportunity to join a team that provide electrical motors for sustainable transportation. You will become part of ABB Traction Motors in Västerås. We develop, manufacture and sell electrical motors with focus on rail applications. This position will provide you with many opportunities and interesting challenges on both local and global level.
- In this position you will lead a team of 4 procurement specialists with focus on supply chain optimization to meet requirements of volume, quality and cost. You will also be the link to global commodity managers and working in a network of supply chain specialists.
- As a person, you have the ability to inspire and engage your team members. You can contribute with your analytical skills and define and execute strategies. As a ground foundation, you hold a degree in relevant field. You have previous knowledge of procurement and logistics, and experience in negotiation, contract and supplier management is beneficial, as well as some kind of leadership experience. The role contain travel to both local and global suppliers and you would therefore need to be fluent in Swedish and English.
