ABB-AccessControl is a professional solution for remote access management. 
It can be planned as standalone solution or integrated with a Building Managment System thanks to smart IP connectivity.

 
How is access managed?

For system settings and the management of individual access authorizations, statuses, etc., an online administration system is available. Thanks to the web interface, you can access your ABB-AccessControl system quickly and easily and keep it under control at all times. Particularly practical: you will be informed at an early stage if a cylinder battery is about to run out, so that it can be replaced in good time.

How does ABB-AccessControl work?

Several floors can be equipped with cylinder locks in an office building, and include repeaters in the system that distribute the signal throughout the building. Different access rights for different people can be assigned through individual tag keys. Based on IP technology, limitations on the number and range of end devices with which the system is controlled are minimized. Decentralized control and installation options effectively protect the system from unauthorized access.

Electric cylinders are suitable for door thicknesses up to 140 mm. A status LED light provides visual feedback and, thanks to the IP66 protection rating, you are always safe. The cylinders are powered by a battery that allows up to 130,000 openings before needing to be replaced. Manual opening of the cylinder is possible at any time from the inside.

The transponder key is the counterpart to electric cylinders and serves as a door opener. It is available in white, grey and black.

Cylinders

The cylinder is suitable for any interior or weather-proofed exterior door, making it a very versatile solution. As there is no wiring whatsoever, mounting and replacement is completed in next to no time, whether you are installing a cylinder for the first time or retrofitting. The cylinder can be operated offline, in a local networked configuration or online through internet.

      System devices

      Smart Access Point Pro 

      The central management device can control one single sub-system, as well as manage multiple sub-systems of the same type interworking. Commissioning and remote control are possible via web interface, requiring no additional software. It can be connected to the network via WLAN client mode or via Network cable, to manage accesses, configure devices, record logs, etc.

      RF/IP Gateway

      The easy solution to connect the cylinders to the IP platform, to extend the AC solution from residential to commercial buildings. It supports more than 16 doors, even in the case of long distances among doors.

      RF repeater

      The RF repeater is installed indoors, and it can be combined with all VDE installation boxes as well as be surface-mounted on the wall. It works with wireless network, through the integrated antenna. Thus, no particular network know-how is required for installation.

      The tag is based on RFID chip technology. It's available both in electronic cylinders and ABB outdoor readers, with a special encryption to guarantee secure controlled access.

       

      Remote access via mobile app

      The App is a cloud-based integrated platform working with both iOS and Android. It allows you to use your smartphone or tablet to manage the calls locally or remotely and customize the set-up based on your needs. 
      Thanks to the MyBuildings portal, the remote connection is totally automated and managed with the highest level of security and data privacy. No special settings need to be made on the internet router for this solution.
