Meeting stringent fire protection standards with SPL-EF
Adaptaflex, a global leader in power and automation, is meeting demand for ‘interoperability’ and compliance with stringent local and European fire safety requirements in the rail infrastructure market with the launch of its innovative SPL-EF conduit systems.
The SPL-EF system, meets the EN45545-2 standard achieving the highest HL3 fire performance rating for both interior and exterior locations.
Ann Timmons, of ABB’s Low Voltage Products division, said: “The Adaptaflex SPL-EF conduit system provides higher performance levels of flexibility, impact and abrasion resistance, combined with enhanced chemical resistances especially to oils and greases. This is delivered with a much higher and lower temperature rating (-40°C to +105°C), than any other metallic conduit system with a EN45545-2 HL3 rating.”
“We are continuously developing our product range in order to offer solutions that meet the most demanding requirements of our customers across a wide range of industries.”
