Furse launch advanced performance, easy-install Type 1+2 Surge Protection Devices (SPDs) for mains power supplies
For well over a decade the market leading Electronic Systems Protection (ESP) Type 1 + 2 Surge Protective Devices (SPDs) for mains power supplies have been specified and used by engineers all over the world. In that time others have tried and failed to match the capabilities packaged within a compact unit.
Now the new Furse ESP T1 SPD series bring you all the benefits of the original Type 1+2 ESP 240/XXX and ESP 415/XXX SPDs for mains power supplies, but with additional innovation for best in class performance, convenient installation and maintenance. These combined Type 1 and 2 tested Surge Protective Devices (to BS EN 61643) are designed for use on the main distribution board, particularly where a Lightning Protection System (LPS) is employed, for equipotential bonding.
Amongst the upgraded features are a new pluggable SPD module design (with anti-vibration locking clip and health indicator) which allows for simple maintenance and replacement at end-of-life. There is also a remote status indication facility (with fast-fit tool-less push terminal) which allows a pre-failure warning to be connected to a Building Management System (BMS), buzzer or lighting.
