Update for 2021/09

ABB low-voltage products are classified in four different product phases. These are outlined in the picture on the right, for your ease of knowledge.

Breakers & Enclosures

   ACBs

  • Emax New, Variable frequency with PR122VF trip unit (low frequency applications), will transition to classic phase in January 2022 and then to limited in January 2023

  • Emax New, LTT (low temperature applications), is currently in classic phase and will transition to limited in January 2021.

  • EntelliGuard G IEC is now Limited and will change in Obsolete in Jan 2023.

  • EntelliGuard L IEC is now Limited and will change in Obsolete in Jan 2023.

  • EntelliGuard G UL/ANSI is now limited with the cradle/cassettes being obsoleted. Replacement circuit breakers, switches, and spare parts are still available for replacement business.

  • Ekip Com Bluetooth is now limited and will be available for sales up to end of Jul. 2021

  MCCBs

  • Tmax T1-T2-T3 PV version will become classic in September 2021, Limited in January 2022 and Obsolete in June 2022
  • T4-T5-T6-T7 ML is going to be moved in classic phase in Jan 2022 and they will be substituted with new Tmax XT
  • FDU display unit with PR222 or PR223 is no longer available

   Power Enclosures

  • IS2 Assembled version and Kit version: will become Classic in 01/2022 and limited in Q3 2023.
  • TriLine power module and TriLine R will become Classic in January 2022 and Limited in January 2023.

   SYSTEMS & CONNECTIVITY

  • Ekip Control Panel and Ekip View Software will change to Limited phase on Jan.2021 and will be available for sales up to end of Dec.2021

Softstarters

  • Added active softstarters in Active products. Added limited and obsolete products in "non Active products"  

Contactors
  •  AF contactors (9A … 38A) with push-in connection technology for rolling stocks applications entered ACTIVE phase
  • AF contactors (9A … 26A) with spring connection for rolling stock applications including accessories will enter CLASSIC phase in H1/2022
  • AF contactors (9A … 96A) with coil type R41 entered LIMITED phase
  • AF contactors (9A … 26A) for industrial applications with spring connection entered LIMITED phase
  • GF1325 entered the ACTIVE phase
  • AS: Enclosed starters DRAS coil type R23, R28 and R29 entered CLASSIC phase
  • WRB-300 and WRB-500 bowden wires will enter ACTIVE phase
  • TF65-B and TF96-B will enter ACTIVE phase Manual Motor Starters
  • New SK1-AR(K) will enter ACTIVE phase
Motor Controllers
  • PROFINET interface PNU32.0 for UMC100.3 becomes ACTIVE
  • Electronic compact starter HF9-R-24VDC enters CLASSIC phase from July 2021

  • Sockets CR-M4LC and CR-PLC enters LIMITED phase from July 2021

  • CT-PAC becomes ACTIVE

Power Supplies

  • Redundancy unit CP-RUD enters LIMITED phase from Jan 2022. Replacement is CP-D RU (1SVR427049R0000)

Safety Products

  •  Fencing system QUICK-GUARD has been divested to Troax Group AB and will change to OBSOLETE phase from July 2021.
  • GATE-S3 Sercos3 will change to OBSOLETE phase from July 2021.
  • Smile 41 EKWWA AS-I will change to OBSOLETE phase from July 2021.
  • JSHD4 (assembled models) will change to OBSOLETE phase from July 2021.
  • JSHD4KC will change to OBSOLETE phase from July 2021.

Pilot Devices

  • Coils: 13,16,17,22,24,80,83 will enter to the LIMIT Emergency stop MPMT3-10* and MPMP2-10* will change from LIMITED to OBSOLETE phase from July 2021
  • Compact L-mark products will change from CLASSIC to LIMITED phase from July 2021
  • Metal enclosures KEM with assembly station MEM and MEX and corresponding accessories will change from LIMITED to OBSOLETE phase from July 2021
  • Transformer KTR will from LIMITED to OBSOLETE phase from July 2021ED phase

GE branded products

  • Pilot Devices P9B, P9E, P9X(and P9Y) and P9P will change to from LIMITED to OBSOLETE phase from April 2021
  • Contactors CLand CK including accessories entered OBSOLETE phase from April 2021
  • MMS Surion including accessories entered OBSOLETE phase from April 2021

NEMA Enclosed products

  • CR151B Terminal block is transferred to the Gexpro/Rexel Parts Supercenter H1 2021, who will continue production at their own discretion. This product has transitioned to Obsolete phase in the ABB portfolio.
  • 077 and CR104P 30mm Pilot devices are transitioning to the new A3 line of 30mm Pilot Devices during late 1H 2021. The 104P and 077 have transitioned to Limited phase for H1 2021 and Obsolete phase H2.
  • CR385 and 386 Starters/Contactors Size 7,8,9 are Limited phase H1 2021 and Obsolete H2 2021. ABB AFN starters are the go-to replacement.
  • Spectra Bolt-On Power Panelboards are in Classic phase and transition to Limited phase beginning H1 2022, and Obsolete phase beginning H2 2022. This application space is filled by ReliaGear neXT Power Panelboards.
  • Spectra Plug-In Power Panelboards are in Classic phase, transition to Limited phase H1 2021 and Obsolete H1 2022. This application space is filled by ReliaGear neXT Power Panelboards.
  • 30-200A Mill Duty Safety Switches are being phased out of availability and production in H1 2021. The application space can be filled with NEMA 5/12 rated safety switches of similar amp rating. 30-200A “Buy America” specialized safety switches are phased out of availability and production in H1 2021. The product offering is unchanged but will no longer include an option for Made in America compliance.
  • Enclosed Spectra and Record Plus breakers & Enclosures for those breakers as well as enclosures for TQD MCCB’s sold separately are in Classic phase and should be transitioned to enclosed TMAX XT and Formula A2. These will transition to Limited phase H2 and be Obsolete at the start of 2022.
  • MSSP Manual Motor Starters transition to Obsolete phase H1 2021, from Classic. CR101 is the intended replacement for this application space. 

Power Protection

  • Conceptpower DPA IEC S2 (DPA S1) changes from classic to limited on Jan.2021
  • PCS120 MV UPS added to active products
  • MegaFlex DPA added to active products

Switches & Fusegear

  • OTDC100EV_...200EV_ & OTDC100U_V...200U_V to Obsolete from 01.01.2022
  • Enclosed switch disconnectors, various customer specific versions to Obsolete 01.01.2022
  • Enclosed switch disconnectors, zero sales items with lockable handle in On position to Obsolete01.01.2022.
  • Enclosed OS Switch Fuses range, to Classic from 1.1.2022
  • Last Buy OESL, OETL all remaining versions and OESA all remaining versions 10.31.2021
    MJS, to Classic from 1.1.2022
  • Last Buy for Legacy Zenith ZTG, ZTS, ZBTS, ZTE, and ZBTE series transfer switches on 15.10.2021 

Service Products

  • New Direct Replacement GE EGG IEC based on Emax2 have been added in active products
  • New Direct Replacement and CiC for GE AKD5 upto 2000A - AKD8 - AKD10 , fuseless UL based on Emax2 have been added in active products
  • Direct Replacement Retrofit EntelliGuard R (GE AKD5 above 2000A - AKD6 , fuseless) UL based on Entelliguard G will be available up to April 2022 , and will be replaced with equivalent solution based on Emax2 (DR & CiC)
  • Direct Replacement Retrofits EntelliGuard R (GE AKD5 -AKD6 - AKD8 - AKD10, fusible) UL based on Entelliguard G will be available for sales up to end of April 2022, and will be replaced with equivalent solution based on Emax2 (DR  & CiC)
