ABB’s BSM B-Series AC brushless servo motors offer the highest levels of performance and reliability our customers have come to expect from ABB servo motors. They achieve the performance of rare-earth-magnet motors but without the rare-earth magnets. The rotor is designed around magnets made from sustainable ferrites, environmentally friendly materials that are less susceptible to sourcing and pricing pressure. For high-precision applications, ABB’s BSM B-Series AC brushless servo motors offer exceptionally low cogging with minimal torque ripple. For machining applications in particular, these features translate to a better finish and higher quality on machined surfaces.
