Your Personal Data

ABB is responsible for your personal data. ABB refers to ABB Asea Brown Boveri Ltd (incorporated in Switzerland under the company number CH-020.3.900.058-8) and its subsidiary companies. For the purposes of applicable data protection law, the controller of your data will be the ABB affiliate that is providing services or communicating to you, which in general is the ABB affiliate in the country where you are based as an individual. What we need

We are using the following categories of your personal data:
First name, last name, business address, business e-mail address, business telephone number, mobile business number, job title, industry.

Why we need it

The personal data we collect will be used for the following purposes: We use your personal data to understand your interest in our products, develop further business opportunities with you and provide you with marketing communications if you have indicated that you would like to receive them. We intend to send you annually a survey, where you can provide your feedback about your experience with ABB.
Purpose:

  • Develop further business opportunities on grid automation (contact through a relationship manager)
  • Improve our service through an annual customer survey

We collect only the personal data from you, which we need for these purposes. We collect this personal data from you based on consent.

How long we keep it

We will keep your personal data for as long as necessary for the purpose or as long as a valid consent is established. After this time, we will securely delete your personal data. If you allow us to use your personal data for marketing purposes, we will keep the necessary personal data until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive marketing communications, at which time we will securely delete the personal data.

What are your rights?

You are entitled to:
  • correct any error in your personal data or update it,
  • receive a copy of your personal data that we hold,
  • delete your personal data that we no longer have a lawful ground to use,
  • port your personal data to a new supplier (if applicable),
  • object to the processing of your personal data based on the legitimate interests ground (provided our reasons for the processing don’t outweigh any prejudice to your data privacy rights), or

In certain circumstances, we may need to restrict the above rights to safeguard the public interest (e.g. the prevention or detection of crime) and our interests (e.g. the maintenance of legal privilege).
