ABB supports the health sector by developing the intensive care unit at Fowa Hospital

  • The hospital serves more than 250 thousand residents of Fowa city in Kafr El-Sheikh province
  • This cooperation comes as part of the company's social responsibility to uplift the medical requirements and services and to improve the performance of public hospitals

ABB Egypt, the leading company in the field of technology and electricity distribution products, in cooperation with Fowa Central Hospital, has provided a number of high-tech respirators needed for the intensive care department. The donation of these devices comes as part of the company's responsibility towards society and within the framework of the private sector's participation plan in meeting the requirements and services of the health sector and upgrading the level and performance of public hospitals in light of the population increase in the city of Fowa.

“We believe in the effective and influential role of the private sector in development, and we are pleased with ABB’s participation in supporting the hospital, which serves many residents of the city of Fowa and its neighboring cities from various segments of Egyptian society. Thanks to the ventilators provided by ABB, the Intensive Care unit inaugurated, and the hospital will be able to provide a medical service at the highest level in the interest of patients and the hospital”, said Dr. Muhammad Al-Far, Director of the Central Hospital of Fowa, on the opening of the intensive care unit in the hospital.

It is noteworthy that ABB is working to support many corporate social responsibility projects in the field of education and health, as it recently replaced and renovated the electricity distribution network at Demerdash University Hospital and inaugurated a solar-powered plant with a capacity of 30 kilowatts to feed the library building and the high voltage building at the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University. ABB has also inaugurated the Al-Marwa Student Clinic in Manshiyet Nasser, affiliated to Public Health Insurance Authority, under the auspices of the Ministry of Social Solidarity and in cooperation with "Takatof Foundation for Development", where the company modernized and equipped the clinic to serve more than 30 schools (42,000 students) in the areas of Al-Duwaiqa and Manshiet Nasser.
